Fulton County, located in the state of Georgia, is home to over a million people and provides a wide range of services. It is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, elected for four-year terms. Six of the members are district commissioners and the president is At-Large and represents all of Fulton County. The Fulton Golden Games are an annual event that encourages health, exercise and fun for mature adults aged 50 and over. The games attract more than 500 participants who compete in sporting and recreational events such as walking, running, bowling and more. In addition to this event, Fulton County Animal Services is managed by LifeLine Animal Project, a 501 (c) () non-profit organization with the mission of ending the euthanasia of healthy, treatable animals in county shelters.
